ALL Aloha College students, from 3 – 18 year olds, ran the Save the Children Charity Race on Friday 19 November.
We would like to thank all those parents who have been working diligently in the PTA room to prepare for the Bazaar.
We would like to thank the more than 90 parents who came to look round our school .
Our assembly was based on healthy eating. It highlighted the fact that if you have a healthy attitude towards food, you will in turn have a healthy attitude towards learning and working. emphasised the importance of eating a balanced diet, with five portions of fruit and vegetables a day. Eating and exercising correctly, ensures healthy bodies and minds in later life.
We are proud to say that on Saturday 16 November several Aloha pupils joined in a sponsored walk organised by the Town Hall to raise money for the Butterfly Children.
Amanda Aspeborg an IB Visual Arts Student, was recently provided with a challenging opportunity to work alongside patients with mental disabilities at the Centro Penitenciario de Sevilla. It took Amanda six months to organise the visit and she was delighted to be allowed to work with an art therapist on a series of workshops.
Mr Galway’s class assembly was based on the story about the Wooden Horse of Troy.
Year 13 organised a Halloween Party for Years 5 and 6 on Friday 22 October 2010.
We are asking parents and students, family and friends, to vote again for Aloha College in the Best School category of the Essential Magazine awards. We have gained first prize for the past 3 years and know we will repeat our success with your help.
