Year 9 Science Fair

On Thursday, 9 June, Year 9 Science students hosted a Science Fair for all students in the Senior School as well as Year 6 students from the Junior School, as well as Teachers and we even had a few parents drop in. The Science Fair was a great opportunity for our Year 9 students to demonstrate some of the skills and knowledge they have acquired during their Key Stage 3 Science careers. The Science Fair was a huge success which both amazed and entertained our visitors with glowing liquids; fluorescent jelly and neon lights; “Screaming Gummy Bears”; exploding volcanoes, and even cloud formation in a bottle! Students had fun igniting gas bubbles and making “Elephant Toothpaste” and even sampling some delightful chocolates and strawberries (all in the name of Science of course). The most popular project that really had the highest WOW Factor was “Walking on Liquid”. Yes, you read correctly, a specially created liquid allowed students to walk across the surface!

Year 1 Visit Agrojardin

Year 1, as part of their topic about growing plants, visited Agro jardin. During our visit we were shown many different types of plant; house plants, garden plants plants that live in water, plants that give us food and even some plants that eat protein.

Year 3 visit to the Farm in Coin

Year 3 visited the farm in Coin on Thursday 26 May. Everyone had a great time and we all had lots of fun. There were different activities which we all took part in. We were able to pick lemons off the tree and make our own lemonade. It tasted delicious. We were able to ride on a donkey called chocolate! Some of us guided the donkey around the track. We all enjoyed archery although not many of us hit the target!!! We were able to see all the animals. Some were very smelly but the peacocks showed off their beautiful feathers.

San Bernabé

Pupils and parents joined in the local festive spirit by wearing flamenco costume to celebrate Marbella’s San Bernabé. Year 7 pupils Andrea, Lori and Sofia delighted a packed audience with their dance prowess, and all were ready for the jamón serrano and cool drinks which awaited them in the foyer.
