This is a summary of Evelina Stanikova, a Year 7 pupil who once again achieved fantastic success last weekend in Golf. Evelina I’m certain will one day become a world class player. Well done, Evelina, we are so proud of you.
22nd of November 2014 there was a final Andalusian ranking tournament in golf. This tournament was located in Jerez de la Frontera at Montecastillo Golf Club. It was 18 holes Stroke Play.
This was the final tournament of the whole year, so only the chosen children that got nominated could go and play there. I was chosen. There were all categories: Benjamín, Alevín, Infantil, Cadete, Girls and Boys. I am eleven years old so this is my first year in Alevines.
I played with two other best girls in my category, so I had a lot of pressure because I knew that if I played worse than them, I would have lost. In the end, I played 82 strokes (so I played better than the other two), I won and as a prize, I got a golf bag and I achieved to be first in Andalucía in golf 2014 in the category Alevín Femenino.
Now my handicap is 9.1. For me this was a very good experience and I hope I will get even better.
