Y6 Trip to Planeta Explora

On Tuesday 24 November, the children in Year 6 had a fantastic time at Planet Explora which is situated at Tivoli World in Benalmádena. The educational visit was linked to their current IPC topic, ‘Making new Materials’. The children had a fantastic time in the science laboratories experimenting with a variety of solids, liquids and gases. They certainly learned a lot more about reversible and irreversible changes through practical investigation. Skills of teamwork and cooperation were also developed. One of the highlights of the day was the experiment using carbon dioxide and bicarbonate of soda to make rockets and volcanoes. On the way home Daniela remarked, “It was a great day out and we learned so much.”
