As part of the college’s policy to support and encourage the wider aspects of education, Aloha is now able to offer pupils the chance of private instrumental tuition.
The lessons are taught by specialist music teachers in our purpose-built Secondary School music practice rooms.
Practical musicianship is an extremely important part of music in Aloha, and this exciting addition to our enrichment programme will have a tremendous effect on the music curriculum. It not only allows the pupils the opportunity to further their skills in this subject, but will also initiate more ensemble work and be a great help and incentive to our examination pupils.
Our Years 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 pupils have the opportunity to take individual, weekly, thirty-minute piano lessons and group guitar lessons during the lunch break. In time, as the scheme grows, there will also be the chance for tuition on string, woodwind, brass and percussion instruments.
