Our History
Founded in 1982
Aloha College Marbella was founded in 1982 by six visionary teachers and a group of parents without whom it would have been impossible to open the school.
It began as a not-for-profit initiative supported by both local and expatriate families.
Pioneers in the International Baccalaureate
Aloha College was among the first schools in Spain to offer the International Baccalaureate, marking its commitment to academic excellence and international-mindedness from the outset. The opening of a new Secondary School building in 2004 doubled the school’s capacity and paved the way for continued innovation and growth.
What started as a small school with just 210 students in a modest building has since evolved into a thriving educational institution, now home to over 900 students on a state-of-the-art 27,000 m² campus.
Strong Alumni Network
We are proud of our strong alumni network, with many former students returning as parents or remaining involved in school life. Notably, Rosa Gómez, one of the first students in 1982, now serves as President of the Aloha College Foundation.
Over the past four decades, Aloha College Marbella has grown in both scale and reputation, while remaining true to its core values.
Today, the campus includes seven science laboratories, three computer suites, two libraries, four art studios, and a dedicated Music Department with a performance hall and drama studio.
Our not-for-profit status means every surplus is reinvested into the school: enhancing facilities, integrating technologies, and supporting staff development.
Our success lies in the caring, inclusive atmosphere we cultivate, where happy, engaged students are supported by passionate, professional teachers committed to every child’s growth and success.
